Peer Review Policy

FESM practices a double-blinded peer review policy i.e., both the authors and reviewers do not know each other’s identity. The assigned editor will conduct initial screening to assess the manuscript suitability in terms of alignment with journal scope, scientific novelty and plagiarism. Upon passing, the editor will invite reviewers via Double-blinded peer-review process and minimum two review reports are mandatory to make a decision. If the recommendations of two reviewers contradict then the editor may assign a third reviewer to finalize the decision on the manuscript. After completion of the peer review process, the editor recommends a decision on the manuscript which is reviewed by the Editor-In-Chief to make the final decision. The decisions are accepted, major revision and minor revision. In case of revision, authors must submit revision within stipulated timeframe and editor will check the revision and decide if another review round is required or not and the cycle runs again.

The review reports are not published on the website but they are preserved in the database and may be made available in proper circumstances.
