Publication Ethics

FESM is committed to the maintain international standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. For this purpose, authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher must contribute. Authors must ensure that manuscripts submitted to FESM are original and free of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or copied text/data without proper citation. Further, they should avoid parallel or duplicate submissions. Reviewers must provide fair and constructive evaluations and complete the reviews within time while maintaining the confidentiality. It is the moral duty of reviewers to decline if they have any kind of conflict of interest, ensuring the unbiased review. Editors evaluate manuscripts on novelty, scientific merit and manuscript relevance to journal aims and scope. Furthermore, Editors are responsible for investigating misconduct, ensure COPE procedures are being followed and handling and making decisions regarding corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as needed. Editors are prohibited to make collaborative connections and personal relationships with authors. The publisher is responsible to maintain ethical standards aligned with COPE, WOS, and Scopus guidelines and providing necessary support to editors during investigations of any kind of misconduct.
